My son and niece's had a blast. They got in free because they are under 2 year's old but it was totally worth the $15.00 each for my husband, 2 brother-in-law and myself to see there little faces light up. It was such a amazing feeling to see what a great time they had there. It was our first time going but we will definitely go back again. Everyone who worked there was extremely nice and helpful. Thanks for making my child and my niece's Halloween weekend so great. I would definitely recommend it to other parents, grandparents, aunt's and uncle's.
This is one of the kid's favorite places to go every year, multiple times a year. The Halloween train or the Christmas train is our favorite. The price is worth the hours of fun you'll have. Everyone that works there is always so friendly and they make sure you enjoy your visit.
We will be back to Wales West on a non-hurricane enforced trip, because it was just an incredible campground, and the owners and employees are genuinely nice and friendly and caring.
This little train has Santa's workshop with elves, Mrs Clause you get to take your own pictures with Santa. They give your child either a wooden train or train whistle you and your child decorates it. Then you re-board the train back to the main station where there is Hot Cocoa, a cookie and a candy cane free waiting for your entire group. There is a mini train you can also ride and instead of a one horse open sleigh, the grinch gives you a ride in his tractor pulled sleigh. Christmas music and lights are everywhere. Even the campers in the Christmas zone decorate their RV'S and camper trailers. There is a gift store on site and little extras you are sure to enjoy. The train tickets are $15.00 each with children 3 and under free. Show your military ID and get a discount on your group's tickets as long as you pay all at once. We had 11 in our group from 1 to 82 and it was great. They do have handicap parking just tell the traffic directors and they have helpers on Golf Carts to help those who man not be able to walk very far. On County Road 9 just outside of Fairhope any holiday lover is sure to enjoy.
And as far as the campground goes, this place is AMAZING! It has a train that goes through the middle of the campground! It has a huge water slide, and amazing playground, and indoor pool and hot tub. There is a little cafe and I'm sure I have missed some items, but my kids were in heaven!
We had to evacuate due to Hurricane Irma, so we packed up our RV and headed north. We had no place to go, and every campground within a safe distance was booked solid, but I contacted Wales West RV Resort and even though they were full they told us to come up to them. They went out of their way making room for us in their employee campground, and we were not the only ones they did this for. These people have hearts of gold. They were incredibly generous, they we warm and thoughtful, and even though we were scared, and worried about loved ones who did not evacuate, worried about our home, worried about our community, etc. they did their best to make sure that we had a nice time. They were especially wonderful with our children. I will forever be grateful to them.
My daughter and I had the best time. They had so many beautiful Christmas light displays. They had train rides, horse back riding, wagon rides, crafts for the kids and you even get to take a picture with Santa. Its like the the perfect southern version of a Christmas Wonderland!
